- It's of 'Pasta'.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of olive oil / low cal spray oil.
- You need 320 grams (4 cups) of bean sprouts.
- You need 120 grams (2 cups) of chopped mushrooms.
- It's 2 clove of garlic.
- You need of salt & pepper.
- You need of Marinara Sauce.
- You need 3 tbsp of olive oil / low cal spray oil.
- Prepare 2 1/2 tbsp of finely chopped onion.
- Prepare 400 grams of can chopped tomatoes.
- You need 50 ml of white wine.
- It's 6 tbsp of tomato paste / puree.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of freshly chopped basil.
- You need 1/2 clove of garlic, finely chopped.
- You need 1/2 tsp of dried oregano.
- You need of salt & pepper.
- You need of sweetener / sugar.
Vickys Bean Sprout 'Pasta' and Marinara Sauce GF DF EF SF NF step by step
- Start by making a puree of the canned tomatoes, wine, tomato paste, garlic and oregano.
- Heat the oil in a pan and gently fry the onions until softened, then add in the tomato sauce and basil and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- When the sauce is almost ready, heat the 'pasta' oil in a frying pan and add the chopped mushrooms and bean sprouts.
- Stir fry on a high heat for 3 minutes then add the garlic and cook a further minute.
- Season the marinara with salt & pepper and a little sugar if required to taste, then spoon some sauce over the top of the 'pasta' and serve with some garlic bread.
